Alfa Romeo 164Alfa Romeo 164 was an executive car, at one time it was the company鈥檚 flagship. The assembly was carried out from 1987 to 1997 in Arese, Italy. 274,000 copies rolled off the assembly line in total. Alfa Romeo 164 was the first production car designed in AutoCAD.

Stylish car design combined with excellent performance aerodynamics - the drag coefficient was only 0.30. The car had a wedge-shaped body, traditional for the company鈥檚 models. Rectangular headlights and a wide grille with a small V-shaped section in the center were located in the car front.
Ergonomically designed seats with improved lateral support provided a high level of comfort. Moderately luxurious trimming perfectly combined with restrained corporate style. Three full seats were provided for the back seat.
Alfa Romeo 164 cars got sensitive steering. The drive was on the front pair of wheels, though the all-wheel drive version also came on sale in limited amounts.

In 1992, the car received new front and rear bumpers, side mirrors with electronic control, alloy wheels 16 inches in diameter, improved front lights and a lot of chrome highlights in exterior design. The center console has also been improved.
Mediocre assembly quality model had negatively affect on the sales. Alfa Romeo 164 was discontinued by the manufacturer in 1997.
