Alfa Romeo RZ is a convertible, developed on the basis of the sports coupe Alfa Romeo SZ. Assembly of cars was carried out in the period from 1992 to 1994 at the factory in Rho (Rho), Italy.

The launch of the concept took place in spring 1989 at the Geneva Motor Show. In 1992 the company introduced the production model of Alfa Romeo RZ convertible. The vehicle was designed by Alfa Romeo, Zagato and Fiatstyle centers under the leadership of Antonio Castellana and Robert Opron.

In the front of the car body triple headlights were located. The center of a small grille housed the traditional V-shaped section. Under the massive bumper painted in body color, there were air intakes holes. The media ambiguously evaluated the original design of Alfa Romeo RZ models.

The vehicle had ideal aerodynamics performance (C鈧� = 0,30).The car body was composed of molded composite panels made from glass fiber and organic resins. Alfa Romeo RZ cars went on sale in a yellow, red or black colors of the body. In the base configuration the car was equipped with power steering, power windows and had a leather interior trim.

The designers have equipped Alfa Romeo RZ with ventilated disc brakes and adjustable rear hydraulic suspension. Solid chassis of the vehicle allowed it to withstand an overload of about 1,1-1,4 G when cornering.

In 1994, the model was discontinued. In total there were released 278 Alfa Romeo RZ cars of the planned 350 copies. Nowadays the car is extremely rare and is extremely highly valued by collectors.
