Peugeot 3008Serial production of Peugeot 3008 crossover has lasted since 2010 up to the present. Cars go off the assembly line at the factories in France and China. The model combines modern design functionality and practicality, which helped it to gain the public鈥檚 recognition. In 2010, the British 鈥淲hat Car?鈥� magazine named the Peugeot 3008 to be the car of the year. In the same year the model got the 鈥淐ontinental Irish Car of the Year鈥� award provided by the Irish Association of auto journalists.
Peugeot 3008 I generationPeugeot 3008 model debuted at the Geneva Motor Show in 2009. The car was built on the basis of the Peugeot PF2 platform. The ride clearance was 150 mm or 180 mm depending on an export region.
A massive radiator grille, highly placed headlights and unusually shaped taillights were distinguished as the exterior features. Large glass area has greatly improved the visibility of the car. Due to the body design, Peugeot 3008 cars had excellent aerodynamic features (drag coefficient is just 0.296).
Special attention to comfort and safety was paid while the car was being designed. Three modifications were offered to customers as a choice: a basic Active and also an advanced Access and Allure. Steering wheel hydraulic booster, height adjustable steering column, leather steering wheel and ergonomic seats made the Active modification more comfortable. A Soundproof windscreen, a rain sensor, exterior mirrors with electric drive, rear electric windows are the paid-up additional options.
All cars were equipped with frontal and side airbags, (ESP) stability control system. Modern lighting devices included illuminated door sills. Also vehicles were equipped with a climate control, front seats heating and side rear view mirrors.
A roomy trunk was considered as an extra advantage of the Peugeot 3008. Its minimum volume of 656 liters could be increased to 1604 liters owing to the folding rear seats鈥� construction. The fifth swing door has been provided for convenience.
Peugeot 3008 I generation restylingIn 2013 Peugeot 3008 model was restyled. The updated car made its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The changes mainly affected the crossover鈥檚 exterior. Front bumper and hood were updated. False radiator grille was decorated with horizontal chrome strips. Headlights got modern sharp shapes. The body became available in new colors. Also the car got new alloy wheels. In general, the exterior design became more stylish and modern.
Some interior changes were made too: the quality of trimming materials and the driver鈥檚 seat ergonomics were improved as well.
