You can also open the bonnet and ask your assistant to start the engine and turn on the air conditioning system. Wait for a while and check whether the clutch hub rotates together with the pulley. If not, the hub is faulty. In some cases, it rotates but produces unusual sounds. This indicates a breakdown as well.

It is not recommended to replace and repair the component yourself. After installing a new part, the air conditioning system should be filled with gas. This requires special refill stations.
