Audi A8Audi A8 is a sedan which sales started in 1994. Production is arranged at plants in Nekkarzulm, Germany, and also in Tokyo, Japan. It is released nowadays.
Audi D2/4DThe car of the first generation debuted on the Geneva showroom in February, 1994. The same year mass production for the European market began, and in 1996 release of cars for the countries of North America was adjusted.
Cars were under construction on the new Volkswagen Group D2 platform. As well as many elements of the body, it was made of aluminum. Thanks to this platform the producer managed to reduce car weight, having kept necessary ruggedness of a running gear and framework.
In a basic set of the Audi D2/4D car the following options were included: front, rear and side airbags, two-zonal climate control, electronic monitoring system of stability of ESP, Bose audio system and seats heating. The expensive natural materials 鈥� leather and wood - were chosen for an interior.
Audi D2/4D re-styleIn 1999 the restyling of Audi D2/4D took place. The developers improved and changed a form of headlights a little, updated fog lights, a radiator grille and door handles. There were no considerable changes in the interior.
Audi D3/4EThe presentation of cars of the second generation took place in July, 2002, in Paris. The same year in November mass production was started. Cars are constructed on the Volkswagen Group D3 platform: the weight of the car and fuel consumption decreased, and dynamics increased. The interior became more spacious: four adult passengers could accommodate comfortably into it.
Adaptive headlights lighting up the direction of maneuver and tires pressure monitoring system were included in the basic set. Developers paid much attention to the safety: instead of simple airbags special ones were established. The air bags of double action can reveal both completely and partially depending on blow force at crash.
Audi D3/4E re-styleIn 2005 the first restyling of the second generation of Audi A8 took place. Changes concerned a radiator grill, air intakes and windshield bars.
As a result of restyling of 2007 the car received a new radiator grille, rectangular fog lights, the chrome plated mouldings of the door handles. Designers changed the form of the cap of a baggage compartment a little and updated tail lights, having installed LED blocks. Also the colour scale of materials of an inner trim was expanded.
Audi D3/4HThe presentation of cars of the third generation took place on December 1, 2009 in Miami. In three months the mass production was arranged. Cars were equipped with innovative systems: Adaptive Highbeam Assist with a chamber of night vision, FlexRay with adaptive cruise control, the assistant to a parking, multimedia system MMI with Internet access. Production of cars proceeded till 2013.
Audi D3/4H restylingIn September, 2013 within the meetings organized by International Advertising Association the presentation of restyling of Audi D3/4H took place. Developers changed the form of the cowl, the radiator grill and the front bumper, established new headlights made on the Matrix LED technology, and new LED lights of MatrixBeam. There were no essential changes in the interior, except for advanced system MMI for which the new processor was developed.
