Citro毛n C2Release of Citro毛n C2 was carried out in 2003-2009. In total, one generation of the model and one restyling were presented. The car was manufactured in a body of a three-door hatchback. Production of these cars was arranged in Aulnay-sous-Bois, France.
Citro毛n C2 I generationThe premiere of Citro毛n C2 took place in 2003 at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The model was constructed on the shortened Citro毛n C3 platform. Despite the compact sizes, the car looked respectable and aggressive thanks to relief wheel arches and a big front bumper. A distinctive feature of an exterior was sharp line of a back window which visually divided car profile into two stylistically independent parts.
For comfortable boarding of passengers, front seats could be removed and folded. The design of the rear door allowed to open its upper part only that facilitated access to the trunk in the conditions of limited space (for example, on the parking).
In an inner trimming, except classical gray, other colours were used: green, amber and blue. Multi-coloured inserts decorated door panels and seats. Door handles and the shift lever were executed in the same colour. Basic package was equipped with four airbags, the electric power steering, power windows and the air conditioner.
The modern and dynamic exterior of this car, ergonomics of internal space, quite good technical indicators, good level of comfort and safety were highly appreciated: in 2003 the French Automobile magazine awarded the car for the best design. The same year the car got the prestigious award "A golden steering wheel" founded by the German Bild am Sonntag and Auto Bild editions in 1976.
Citro毛n C2 I generation restylingRestyling of Citro毛n C2 was carried out in 2008. The updated cars had a new bumper with a big air inlet, the radiator grille with the chrome plated fringing and new options of disks design. Mirrors cases were painted in a body colour. In 2009 this model was out of production.
