Citro毛n JumpyRelease of the Citro毛n Jumpy commercial vehicle was carried out in 1994-2016. Two generations of the model and two restylings were presented. Cars were assembled in Lieu-Saint-Amand, France, in Jakarta, Indonesia. In 2008 Citro毛n Jumpy won the first place in the International Van of the Year competition.
Citro毛n Jumpy I generationThe first generation of Citro毛n Jumpy cars was issued from 1994 to 2004. The car enjoyed popularity among car owners, in many respects thanks to the compact sizes and quite good loading capacity. A minibus and a van became available bodies.
Some niches and pockets for small things storage were placed in the passenger compartment. The design of the car quite corresponded to that time: rectangular headlights, angular exterior, straight lines. ABS, the air conditioner and power windows were offered as additional options.
Citro毛n Jumpy I generation restylingIn 2004 Citro毛n Jumpy cars were restyled. Minor changes concerned a bumper, a radiator grille and a hood. Direction indicators were integrated into headlights. Mouldings of black colour were placed on the body.
Citro毛n Jumpy II generationThe official presentation of Citro毛n Jumpy of the second generation took place at the Sevel Nord enterprise in France at the end of 2006. The stock production of the model started in 2007. The design of these cars was updated completely. Citro毛n Jumpy II represented a new design 鈥� not only externally, but also in the technical plan.
The car had sportier and modern design. The nose was completely changed: headlights of teardrop shape were set instead of outdated rectangular headlights. Dynamism of an exterior was emphasized by the effective stamping on sidewalls smoothly passing into the line of headlights and by the moldings also. Massive bumpers were established on the cars of the second generation. Also the shape of tail lights was changed. In the interior trimming qualitative cloth and plastic were used. The range of bodies remained invariable.
Citro毛n Jumpy II generation restylingIn 2012 Citro毛n Jumpy of the second generation was restyled. Headlights, radiator grille and front bumper were updated. In 2014 the German company Westfalia started the release of the remodeled Citro毛n Jumpy. These cars were intended for a camping and had four berths, refrigerator and a washbowl. In 2016 it was decided to replace the Citro毛n Jumpy model with the Citro毛n SpaceTourer car.
Citro毛n Jumpy in the markets of the different countriesCitro毛n Jumpy are known also under other names: in Ireland and Great Britain these cars were on sale as Citro毛n Dispatch. In France Peugeots Expert and Fiat Scudo models were released at the same enterprise, as Citro毛n Jumpy. All three cars were twins. The second generation of the model had one more twin 鈥� the Toyota ProAce model.
