Production of Dacia Duster crossovers began in 2010 and this model is still being produced. Today there are one generation and one restyled model in the market. Cars are assembled in Romania, Russia, Brazil, Colombia, India and Indonesia. Dacia Duster is one of the cheapest crossovers in the world.

Dacia Duster Concept was presented in 2009 at the Geneva Motor Show, the premiere of the serial car took place within the same auto show in 2010. It was the crossover with a front or four wheel drive constructed on the Nissan B0 platform. Short bumper moulding, large angles of entrance and exit ramps, a high road clearance and small weight provided good running characteristics to this car.

The exterior of Dacia Duster was effective and stylish. The front part of the car was decorated with headlights of an irregular shape, there was a bimodal radiator grille with the chromeplated elements between them. Round fog lights were integrated into a front bumper, it was als covered by a massive protective molding.

Inexpensive decortion materials of black and gray colours prevailed in the interior of Dacia Duster. Some modifications have elements imitating metal. There was a comfortable seat with a convenient steering wheel, a plain dashboard with large dials of the main sensors with visors. In interior there were anatomic seats with side support for the driver and the front passenger, and at the rear part of the car there were wide chairs with head restraints and folding backs. Dacia Duster had a capacious trunk and its volume could be increased from 475 to 1636 l, having slopped rear seats forward.

There were four modifications of Dacia Duster in the market.

Duster Dacia (4脳2) was equipped with the ABS system, a power steering, front airbags and ISOFIX fastenings for a children's seat.

Ambiance modification had front side airbags, seat belts with prestretchers, the central lock with a remote control and the electric drive of windshields.

In the list of options of Laur茅ate modification there were bumpers painted in the color of a body, the hand-operated air conditioner, the electric drive and heating up of side mirrors.

Prestige modofication had a leather upholstery of interior, radio, CD, a MP3 and a leather wheel.

In 2013 at the Frankfurt Motor Show the updated Dacia Duster was presented. As a result of restyling, cars of the first generation got the chromeplated radiator grille, new headlights, restyled railings on a roof and 16-inch disks.

Since March, 2010, Dacia Duster was on sale in Europe, Turkey, Algeria, Morocco. In June, 2011 the Renault Duster twin car debuted in South America at the Motor Show in Buenos Aires. In Great Britain sales of Dacia Duster started in 2012. Then cars was awarded with three awards at once: "Scotish Car of the year", "SUV of the year" and "Budget car of the year". In the Asian market the car was on sale under the name of Renault Duster.
