Info on FORD RANGER model - the right selection of spare parts
Ford RangerProduction of the Ford Ranger pickup for the European market began in 1998. This car was produced for the USA market from 1982 to 2011. Since 2011 and till present time there is a Ford Ranger model, common for all markets. Release of pickups was organized in Thailand, the Republic of South Africa and Argentina. In 2013 the car won the "International Pickup of Year" competition and in 2014 became best selling pickup in Germany.
Ford Ranger I generationThe pickup of the first generation was released in 1998-2006 for the European and Asian markets. This car was assembled in Thailand at the same enterprise, as Mazda BT-50 was assembled therefore both models differ only in some elements of design and in the name.
Creating the new pickup, designers positioned it as the vehicle for the active young people. As a result, Ford Ranger had sport design and its list of options was impressive for those times. Two airbags, the ABS system, power windows, the hydraulic power steering, the electric drive of side mirrors, the audio system were included in the basic set of the pickup. As an extra option the conditioner was offered.
Ford Ranger I generation restylingIn 2002 there was a restyling of the pickup of the first generation. Changes concerned a radiator grille, optics, and also some elements of an interior and an exterior.
Ford Ranger II generationIn March, 2006 at the auto exhibition in Bangkok the official premiere of a second generation of Ford Ranger took place. The new car had an advanced security system, EBD, the updated design. The radiator grille, front and back headlights, a cowl were changed. The front bumper was designed so that the fog lights, built in it, were protected from hit of water and mud.
The interior of the new pickup was realized in dark gray tones and differed in abundance of the chrome plated elements. There were an updated dashboard, more convenient seats with the enlarged head restraints and armrests in front and back rows in the compartment.
Ford Ranger II generation restylingIn 2009 models of the second generation were slight restyled. Changes concerned the nose of a car, back optics and design of the dashboard. Also the list of options was expanded. These cars were produced till 2011.
Ford Ranger III generationIn autumn of 2010 at the motor show in Sydney, Ford Ranger of the third generation was presented. The car came to stock production a year later after the presentation. This car was constructed for the sale all over the world so it significantly differed from cars of previous generations.
Designers changed completely the design of an exterior so Ford Ranger cars became more stylish. Plastic, vinyl and leather began to be used in finishing of the passenger compartment. Devices were highlighted by luminescent illumination.
Ford Ranger III generation restylingIn 2015 there was a restyling of the pickup. The car had the electric power steering, the new dashboard, advanced multimedia system and the expanded list of options.
Ford Ranger in the markets of the different countriesIn the USA four generations of the Ford Ranger model were released till 2011. The last generation of cars released since 2011, became the fifth generation for the American pickups.
This car was on sale also under other names: Mazda B2500, Mazda Bravo and Mazda Drifter.
