Hyundai i30Production of Hyundai i30 began in 2007 and continues nowadays. Cars in bodies of a three-door and five-door hatchbacks, a five-door station wagon were presented at the market. Hyundai i30 was manufactured in South Korea, China, the Czech Republic and Egypt.
Hyundai i30 I generationRelease of Hyundai i30 was preceded by the presentation of Hyundai Arnejs Concept debuting at the Paris Motor Show in 2006. The presentation of series Hyundai i30 took place within the auto show in Geneva in 2007. The same year cars came to the European market.
Experts from the Hyundai center in the city of Russelsheim, Germany, worked on design of these cars. The front part of these cars was decorated by a double radiator grill and big stylish headlights. At the rear part of the body developers established a small spoiler and lights with glasses of ruby colour. Thanks to the elaborated body dimensions (length of 4245 mm, width of 1765 mm, height of 1480) cars accelerated quickly, differed in good steering on a damp roadbed and on turning movements.
In the interior of the Hyundai i30 cars the comfort and practicality prevailed. The producer established anatomic seats, adjustable steering column, ergonomic dashboard. There were signaling devices of malfunctions in the dials of devices which performed informative and decorative function thanks to the beautiful illumination. The two-coloured covering of seats was a characteristic of an interior of Hyundai i30.
As additional options, the producer offered leather covering of seats, system of stabilization, the hatch, the parking assistant system, 17-inch wheel disks, the audio system.
Production of Hyundai i30 cars of the first generation came to the end in 2011.
Hyundai i30 II generationAt the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2011 the presentation of Hyundai i30 of the second generation took place. In the USA the car debuted in 2012 within the Chicago Motor Show. The Hyundai i30 cars were presented at the world market in bodies of a three-door and five-door hatchback.
New cars differed in good running characteristics and excellent dynamics. Developers paid much attention to the suspension: on front wheels there was McPherson suspension, on rear wheels 鈥� independent multilever system.
Basic modification had ABS ( anti-lock braking system), ESP (electronic stabilization), VSM (vehicle stability management system).
Changes in interior of Hyundai i30 were insignificant. There were more space for the driver and the front passenger. For implementation of such decision, developers reduced free space for passengers of back row of seats.
In the list of available options there were climate control system, the rear-view camera, key-less engine start, system of navigation.
Hyundai i30 awardsIn 2008 in Australia the Hyundai i30 model was entitled "Best Mid-size Car Under of 28,000$". The same year it was recognized as the car of year in Spain. In 2009 in New Zealand the car was awarded ranks "2009 AA Motoring Excellence Awards". In 2012 the Thistle edition (Glasgow, Scotland) called Hyundai i30 the best family car of year.
Hyundai i30 in the markets of the different countriesThe Hyundai i30 cars of the first generation were on sale in the USA and Canada under the name Hyundai Elantra Touring and were produced in a five-door station wagon body type only. In China the car was known as Beijing-Hyundai i30. Cars of the second generation, presented at the American and Canadian markets, are called Hyundai Elantra GT.
