Mercedes-Benz E-class is the German car of a business class. Officially the producer separated the car from the model range only in 1993, but its history began with pre-war cars.

Until the end of production in 1997 the company has produced more than 2,5 million copies of this car.

The new generation of the car of this model was released from 1995 to 1999 in Sindelfingen, Germany. Mercedes-Benz E-class W210 cars were the first cars with the well-known double ellipse headlights. The electronic stability control (ESP) for the first time was included in the basic package of the model. The car was manufactured in bodies of a sedan and a station wagon.

In 1999 the model underwent essential changes. The car got side mirrors with the integrated direction indicators, the updated shape of door handles, bumpers, and the improved back optics also. The producer increased quality of inner trimming and equipped the steering wheel with control buttons.

The model of the third generation was presented on the Brussels motor show at the beginning of 2002. The design of the car became more refined, and lines 鈥� more smoothly varying. Initially buyers could get only a sedan, but since 2003 the producer adjusted release of the five-door station wagon.

In 2006 the car got the improved front optics and new back lights, the changed radiator grille shape, and also the updated front spoiler. Overall dimensions of the car were increased. In total, company sold more than 1 500 000 cars.

The company presented the fourth generation of the car in January, 2009 at the motor show in Detroit. The car differed in company stylish design and perfect hardware, and also an excellent drag coefficient (C 鈧�=0,25). Cars were released in a coupe, a sedan, a station wagon and a cabriolet bodies.

The producer made the considerable efforts for increasing the safety of the car, having equipped it with systems of identification of road signs, Lane Keeping Assist, Attention Assist, the ESP and ABS systems. The adaptive suspension, climate control and a special design of seats provided to passengers and the driver a maximum level of comfort.

In 2013 restyling gave the model pronounced sports lines. The car had new design of front and back fenders, the updated doors shape, radiator grille with a stylish logo emblem, LED back optics, the updated front bumper and mono headlights instead of dual. Also the producer managed to improve aerodynamic characteristics of the model.
