MG MGB Mk IThe manufacture of MG MGB began in 1962. Firstly, the car was released in a roadster body and had a folding cloth roof, but in 1965 a three-door hatchback coupe MG MGB GT went on sale.

MG MGB Mk III restylingDuring the 1973 restyling, the designers of the third generation model returned some exterior elements of MG MGB Mk I, changing the radiator grille, in particular.
In 1974 the cars, released for the North American market, got updated chrome bumpers with rubber moldings, improved rear optics and modified suspension.
Since 1975 front stabilizer bars were installed for an extra fee only. In 1977 the manufacturer modernized the suspension of MG MGB Mk III again. In 1980 the company finished the production of the model.
MG MGB in different marketsMG US-Spec with an optional third wiper blade and improved trim were produced specifically for the United States. In 1980, the company produced 420 cars MG MGB Roadster Limited Edition in honor of finishing the production.
