Peugeot 5008 is the first compact minivan of French manufacturer production line which has been produced from 2009 until today. Production is held in Sochaux, France. In 2009 car鈥檚 safety was confirmed by five-star EuroNCAP crash test results.

Consumers also were offered a range of compelling options. Thus, as an option, a multimedia system with screens integrated into front seat headrests could be installed. Alternatively, a HUD could be installed that projected speed, engine status and other data directly on the windshield, which allowed the driver to focus on the road. A Distance Alert device, due to a radar in the front bumper, allowed to keep a safe distance from front-running cars.

A renewed car was presented in 2013 in Frankfurt. Changes touched the headlights, the radiator grille, the bumper; the windshield was enlarged, and new body color options were added. Also, wheel discs in three sizes - 16, 17 and 18 inches were offered. Inside, the changes were minor - seats became more comfortable, having received lateral support and more rigid stuffing.
