SEAT 132 sedans were being produced from 1973 to 1982. There are one generation of the model and two restyled models in the market. Cars were assembled in Spain.

The official premiere of SEAT 132 took place at the Barcelona Motor Show in 1973. The model repleced an outdated SEAT 1500 and was created under the license on the basis of Fiat 132. The design of the car was developed under the leadership of Marcello Gandini. Angular body style was smoothed a little. The big windshield provided a good visibility. Double head lights had the round shape. Front turn indicators were integrated into the bumper. Door handles and radiator grill became covered with chrome. The most expensive modification 鈥� Lujo 鈥� had the wooden dashboard (walnut).

SEAT 132 model differed with an attractive design, a high level of safety, the high-quality finishing, various modifications, therefore the Spanish officials chose the cars of this model as the official vehicle.

SEAT 132 I generation restylings

In 1974 there was a restyling of SEAT 132 model. The radiator grill was updated, the rear optics was redesigned, and the size of side windows was increased. In an exterior there were less chromeplated elements than it used to be. The interior was considerably renewed. In interior, new seats appeared. Design of the dashboard was emphasized on asymmetry (unlike the previous generations). The steering column was regulated on height.

In 1977 the second restyling of the SEAT 132 model took place. Producers considerably increased the level of safety: the body construction was strengthened, the bumpers were made of a strong plastic. In an exterior the most noticeable changes concerned the radiator grille. A body case in some modifications was decorated with black moldings. The design of wheel disks was also restyled. Dashboard, seats, and also door panels were renewed. Some modifications of SEAT 132 sedans were equipped with the central lock, power windows, the power steering and the air conditioner.
