Info on SEAT FURA model - the right selection of spare parts

Production of three - and the five-door SEAT Fura hatchbacks was carried out from 1981 to 1986. There were one generation of the model and one restyled model in the market. Cars were assembled in Spain.

The premiere of the SEAT Fura cars took place in 1981. The model was constructed on the basis of SEAT 127. Initially the car had the name SEAT 127 Fura, but after a while it was decided to refuse a use of the digital index, and the car began to be called SEAT Fura.

In design of a new car there were the same features as SEAT 127 had: the same angular body, straight lines and the massive wheel arches. The car had rectangular headlights with the built-in directions indicators, a wide radiator grill and plastic bumpers integrated into the body. Side direction indicators had a rectangular shape. The hood was decorated by a trapezoid power bulge with the air intake in the center. Front seats were equipped with head restraints. Basic modifications of the model had seat belts and rear window regulators.

Sports version of the SEAT Fura hatchbacks was called SEAT Fura Crono. Bodies of these cars were painted in black, red or silver colours only.

Cars of the first generation were released till 1983.

In 1983 a restyling of the first generation of SEAT Fura cars took place. After the restyling, the model was called SEAT Fura Dos. The restyled car began to look more stylishly and modern. Square narrow head lights and the restyled radiator grill made the exterior elegant. There were wide plastic black mouldings on the each side of the car. Some modifications had wide vinyl side steps instead of mouldings, and bumpers were painted in colour of the body. In 1986 production of SEAT Fura was stopped.

The first generation of SEAT Fura cars had a twin 鈥� the Fiat 127 Special car which was released in 1982-1983. Also these cars were manufactured under the license in Egypt where they were on sale under the name of El Nasr Super Fura.
