The angular body, wedge-shaped hood, round headlights located in deepenings, wide plastic bumper with the integrated air intake, massive wheel arches 鈥� all this at the time of release looked stylishly and was modern. Round door handles were the distinctive feature of the exterior of these cars. Rear headlights were built in the bumper. On the hood panel there was the air intake on the left side. Devices, switches and air vents had a rectangular shape.

In 1981 the SEAT Ritmo 75 CLX cars were released. Bodies of these cars were painted in brown or gray metallic colours. Cases of exterior mirrors got other form. On both sides of a car in the heel of the body there was the embossing pattern. The pattern of wheel caps and disks reminded a star in the form. Materials of better quality were used in the inner trimming. Next year blue, silvery and golden colors were added to the options of body coloring for these models.

The SEAT Ritmo cars were being produced till 1982. In 1982, after the termination of cooperation of the Spanish car maker with the Italian Fiat concern, the model was subjected to restyling and renamed to SEAT Ronda.
