Info on SEAT RONDA model - the right selection of spare parts
SEAT RondaThe five-door SEAT Ronda hatchbacks were being produced from 1982 to 1986. There were one generation of the model and one restyled model in the market. Cars were manufactured in Barcelona, Spain.
SEAT Ronda I generationWhen the management of Fiat Company stopped a long-term cooperation with the SEAT company, the Spanish producer and its former partner signed the agreement on further production of cars on the basis of the Fiat models, but with considerable changes of exterior and interior. Within the new arrangement, a number of the SEAT cars, including the five-door SEAT Ritmo hatchback, subjected to restyling. So there was a SEAT Ronda hatchback which was the modernized copy of SEAT Ritmo.
The premiere of the SEAT Ronda cars took place in 1982. The main lines of design were borrowed from the predecessor: the same angular body, straight lines, wedge-shaped hood and massive wheel arches. The most noticeable changes concerned the exterior of the front part: headlights had a rectangular shape, there was an expressive radiator grille painted in black colour. Round door handles were replaced by rectangular ones. Also the car had new bumpers.
The interior of the SEAT Ronda hatchbacks was quite comfortable. In finishing of the interior, velour materials were used. Expensive modofications had the central console decorated with wooden inserts, the steering column was regulated on height, and the central lock and power windows were included into the list of basic options. Cars of the first generation were being released till 1984.
SEAT Ronda I generation restylingIn 1983 restyling of the SEAT Ronda model took place. The first restyled car was painted in white colour completely, including a radiator grille, bumpers and wheel disks. These cars went on sale in 1984. The main changes concerned the exterior: direction indicators, company logo plate, the rear door were restyled.
The SEAT Ronda cars enjoyed popularity not only in Spain, but also in Israel, France and Benelux countries. In 1986 the release of the model was stopped.
