艩koda Superb
Production of 艩koda Superb began in 2001 and continues nowadays. To date, three generations and two restylings of the model have been presented. 艩koda Superb have been available in several bodies: sedan, five-door liftback and station wagon. Now assembling of these cars is carried out in Czech city of Kvasiny.
艩koda Superb I generation
At the Geneva motor show in 2001 艩koda Montreux concept was presented. The stock car debuted the same year at the motor show in Frankfurt. It was constructed on the same B5 platform as Volkswagen Passat, with the wheelbase extended by 100 mm.
The body of 艩koda Superb sedan was sturdy and well-proportioned: length 鈥� 4803 mm, width 鈥� 1765, height 鈥� 1444 mm. It was the typical representative of the 艩koda company with the signature radiator grille, moulding located at the lower part of the bumper and the raised tailgate.
The passenger compartment of 艩koda Superb cars differed in comfort and roominess. One of the features of the car was the niche in the left-hand back door intended for the umbrella. The latter was included in the basic package.
One more feature of the 艩koda Superb car was the Cargo-Flex system in the luggage compartment; it is a set of convenient nets. The standard package included four airbags, an electric pack, three-point seat belts with tensioners, door illumination.
艩koda Superb I generation restyling
In 2006 the first generation of 艩koda Superb underwent restyling; as a result, headlights and back lights, the changed radiator grille were installed on the cars. Designers transferred side repeater indicators to side mirrors. Minor changes affected interior also.
艩koda Superb II generation
In March, 2008, at the Geneva motor show the second generation of 艩koda Superb was presented. The model was available in station wagon and liftback bodies. The TwinDoor system was a special feature of the car. This design solution allowed to open the back door together with the rear window, and the boot lid separately. Several packages were available on the market: Comfort, Ambition, Elegance, Greenline, Exclusive.
艩koda Superb II generation restyling
In 2013 there was a restyling of the model. The presentation of the car took place at the motor show in Shanghai. New headlights with LED day running lights and LED rear lights were installed on 艩koda Superb. The list of basic options was extended with the modern park assist and adjustable back seats.
艩koda Superb III generation
At the Geneva motor show in 2015 the third generation of 艩koda Superb was unveiled. Sales of the updated liftback and station wagon started the same year.
The car exterior was considerably changed and had some specific features - a roof that could be transformed into the fifth door and optics with decorative elements imitating Bohemian crystals.
Changes affected 艩koda Superb interior also. The overall design concept was kept, but designers upgraded the central console, the dashboard, the steering wheel. The list of basic equipment was extended with three-zone climate control, window blinds, a portable phone holder, USB port and 220V socket.
