Subaru XVThe production of five-door Subaru XV crossovers began in 2011 and continues till nowadays. To date, one generation of the model was presented.
Subaru XV I generationThe concept of Subaru XV was presented at the Shanghai Motor Show in April, 2011. In September of the same year the series car was presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
The exterior of the crossovers became better-looking. Due to the flowing body lines, Subaru XV cars have excellent aerodynamic characteristics. The off-road character of the vehicle was emphasized by enlarged wheel housings and stylish 17 inch aluminum alloy wheel discs. The nose of the car is decorated with narrow complex-shaped headlights, a keystone-shaped, chrome-framed radiator grille and an eye-catching power bulge on the hood. Also, the rear optics had an interesting design.
The interior of the car was executed in a high-tech style and was defined by its functionality. The spacious cabin was finished with high quality materials. The top part of the central console housed an information display, regarding which it was possible to follow the level of fuel consumption, time, temperature and safety indexes. Another display 鈥� a color touchscreen 鈥� allowed to control the multimedia system. The seats provided a high level of comfort by having lateral support, armrests with special covering and tilt-adjustable headrests. The driver鈥檚 seat offered good visibility, due to its high position. The back seats could be collapsed, thus increasing the capacity of the baggage compartment.
Subaru XV boasted excellent technical equipment. The Lifetronic continuously variable transmission was created especially for this model. As basic options, a dynamic stability system, an ABS system with brakeforce distribution, and emergency braking assistance are available. The high level of safety of the car is provided by the numerous air bags and curtain airbags, reinforced body frame, an engine moving to the side of the cabin in the case of a crash, cruise control system, a rear-view camera. Subaru XV cars received the highest rating 鈥� 5 stars 鈥� as a result of Euro NCAP testing in 2012.
In 2013 a Subaru XV Crosstrek Hybrid car based on the Subaru XV was presented at the New York Auto show.
Subaru XV I generation faceliftAt the Brussels Motor Show in 2016 the restyling of the first-generation Subaru XV cars was presented. The front and rear optics were reworked, the interior was renovated, the list of additional options was enlarged and technical equipment was improved.
