Production of the sport car Toyota 86 GT continues since 2012 till present. Assembling is carried out in Ota, Japan. The Toyota 86 GT model was constructed by the Toyota Motor Corporation company in cooperation with Subaru 鈥� the division of the Japanese Fuji Heavy Industries conglomerate.

The prototype of the stock car was presented at the motor show in Tokyo in 2011. Production of the Toyota 86 GT model began in March, 2012. Soon the sales started.

Toyota 86 GT cars are released in a coupe body and have bright sports design. Courageous designing of a body is emphasized with a unique pattern of the radiator grille in the form of a letter T. The car had 17-inch light-alloy disks. The sports image is completed by the spoiler which has improved aerodynamics and the double chrome plated exhaust pipe. Thanks to streamline outlines of a body, the drag coefficient makes only 0,27.

The exclusive design is supplemented by the elaborated interior. The comfort of the driver and passengers is provided by the ergonomic seats, the short gear lever, the easily readable dashboard. Four places are provided in the passenger compartment.

Not only the perfect design, but also dynamics of the movement act as distinctive feature of the car. Transmission is lowered, the engine is shifted back. It allowed to lower the center of masses and to optimize the distribution between two axes that provides good controllability and gives excellent running characteristics to the car.

Toyota 86 GT car is completed with the lighting sensor. It monitors changes of intensity of lighting and automatically switches on and off headlights. All cars are equipped with anti-lock braking system (ABS) and electronic system of brake force distribution (EBD). The model is available in the following packages: Sport, Elegance, Elegance Aeropack, Premium and Premium Aeropack.

The model is on sale under the brands Toyota, Subaru, Scion and in the markets of the different countries bears different names. Under the name Toyota GT86 cars are on sale in the European market.
