Toyota Paseo of the first generation was issued from 1991 to 1995. These cars were designed on the basis of Toyota Starlet and had a lot of common elements with it. Cars were available in a coupe body.

The second generation of the Toyota Paseo model went on sale in 1995 both on Japanese, and on American the markets. The car was presented at the auto show in Tokyo in October, 1995.

The basic package of Toyota Paseo EL54 was equipped with the power steering, power windows, the central lock, an immobilizer, anti-locking braking system (ABS) and a set of airbags. For an additional fare it was possible to get function of seats heating, a genuine leather covering of seats, the conditioner and the branded audio system.

The car was manufactured in bodies of a cabriolet and a coupe. The cabriolet was available not to all markets. So, it was not delivered to Great Britain.
