Volvo V70The production of Volvo V70 model started in 1997 and continues till nowadays. For now three generations and two restylings of the cars are presented. The car is available in a station wagon body. Volvo V70 cars鈥� production took place in Sweden, Belgium, Canada, Thailand and Indonesia.
Volvo V70 I generationVolvo V70 first-generation cars were being released from 1997 to 2000. The model was built on the basis of Volvo 850 estate car. The car inherited some features of design and technical characteristics from the previous model. The car looked stylish and modern. The exterior was characterized by the branded features: protruding bumpers and upstanding taillights. Front and rear spoilers were installed on the Volvo V70 R sports version. Volvo V70 II generationThe second-generation cars were released in 2000-2005. The official premiere of Volvo V70 II was held at the North American Auto Show in 2000. The cabin of modernized car became more streamlined. Plastic moldings appeared from both sides of the car. In total, the exterior鈥檚 design was slightly changed. The developers improved the technical characteristics and an advanced safety system in the second-generation cars. More environmentally friendly engines began to be installed on the Volvo V70 models. The list of options was enlarged.

Volvo V70 II generation restylingIn 2004 Volvo V70 second-generation car was restyled. The changes were minor, concerned some exterior and interior elements. New variants of body coloring appeared. Also, the branded logotype on the steering wheel was modernized. Those cars were being produced till 2007.
Volvo V70 III generationThe third-generation cars debuted in March 2007, by means of Geneva Motor Show. Those cars were being released till 2013. The producers increased the car鈥檚 size, by means of this the cabin became more spacious. The developers materialized the progressive solutions in the modernized cars. In case of remote door opening an air ventilation system automatically switched on. The special ventilators also were built into the seats鈥� backs.
Also, in 2007 Volvo V70 Alcoguard Concept was released. The developers incorporated a new Alcoguard technology into the concept car. They equipped the car with special wireless device, intended for analysis of driver鈥檚 breath. Before running the engine, the driver had to blow into a special tube. The device analyzed the air on the percentage composition of alcohol and transferred data in the car鈥檚 electronic system. If the obtained result was over the acceptable limit, the engine was blocked. Since 2009 this technology is available on all Volvo V70 cars as an additional option.
Volvo V70 III generation restylingIn 2013 third-generation Volvo V70 was restyled. Radiator grille and front bumper were modernized. The interior was slightly changed.
