Honda CrosstourHonda Crosstour were crossovers, production of which started in 2009 and continued till 2015. During that period one generation and one facelift were presented. Manufacturing was established in the USA and China.
Honda Crosstour I generationHonda Crosstour was notable for an excellent road performance and handling. Real Time 4WD system reacted on grip of wheels friction coefficient changing sensitive, providing comfort handling during a rain.
Spacious interior was designed for four passenger seats. Due to an active noise reduction system (Active Noise Control), there were no unusual sounds during driving. Driver seat was equipped with multi-level adjustments, lumbar support and settings memory. Wood imitating and leather materials prevailed in an interior decoration.
Manufacturer specified Honda Crosstour exploitation in cold climate countries and installed two-level seats heating and power side mirrors with heating and settings memory. Mirrors bended down while car was driving on reverse, providing more visibility, preventing the impact. All Honda Crosstour cars had climate-control, allowing selecting temperature both for driver and passenger independently.
The distinctive feature of Honda Crosstour was its safety level. Manufacturer installed VSA (stability assist), ABD (antiskid braking system) and EBD (electronic brake force distribution) in each car. During tests developers find more deformed body zones and then strengthened them with steel constructions. The following options were also included: side airbags, front airbags with two-level deployment and intellectual Occupant Position Detection system, reminding about unfastened seat belt.
Honda Crosstour I generation faceliftOn International Motor Show in New York in 2012 Honda Crosstour concept was presented to public. Production of facelifts started that year.
Exterior got chrome elements. Developers installed a stylish radiator grille, new fog lights integrated to redesigned front bumper. A roof got a new fin-shaped antenna, providing GPS and radio signal processing. On the 31st of August 2015 company ended Honda Crosstour production.
