Honda IntegraHonda Integra was manufactured in 1985-2006. During this time there were four generations and two facelifts presented. Manufacturing was established in Suzuka, Japan. In 1987, 1988 and 1994-1997 car was in TOP10 Best Cars, according to version of Car and Driver magazine. In 2006 British Evo magazine called Honda Integra Type-R (DC2) 芦Best RWD car of the year禄.
Honda Integra 1985鈥�2001First Honda Integra generation production was in 1985-1989. Car came to replace Honda Quint and had common components and design elements with Honda Civic. Sedan, 5-door liftback and 3-door hatchback were available.
Exterior distinctive features were retractable headlights. Cars for American market differed from European ones in more options. Bumpers of American cars were painted in body color. Cars were equipped with a central lock, power windows and air-conditioner.
In 1989-1993 second generation was coming off the assembly line. Hard-top and coupe versions appeared. Body lines became more smooth. Unlike its predecessor cars got fixed headlights. Second generation models came in basic configuration (Honda Integra RSi) and extended configuration (Honda Integra XSi) with climate-control, anti-skid braking system (ABS) and sunroof (optional).
Third Honda Integra generation debuted in 1993. Sedan became available again. Coupe cars production continued. In 1994 model appeared on American market. A new car got round headlights. Five configurations were available in the USA: Regular Sport, Luxury Sport, Special Edition, Grand Sport and Grand Sport Racing. In Special Edition configuration included air-conditioner, cruise-control, power windows, a moonroof, leather seats upholstery, alloy wheel. Rear spoiler was offered for additional fee.
Restyling of third generation took place in 1995. Basically it affected technical components. Road performance and acceleration dynamic were improved. Honda Integra Type R super sport coupes appeared on Japanese market.
Honda Integra DC5On the 13th of April 2001 the fourth generation of Honda Integra was presented in Japan. American premiere took place the same year in Detroit. Production continued till 2006. Honda Integra DC5 cars were made only in coupe versions. A car got a wedged silhouette, hood lines continued radiator grille shape. Round headlights and marker lights were combined into headlamp units. Honda Integra Type R sport coupes were equipped with aero parts and spoiler.
Honda Integra DC5 faceliftHonda Integra DC5 took insufficient restyling in 2004. Headlights and front bumper shapes were changed. Honda Integra Type S was manufactured along with Honda Integra Type R. These cars had 17-inch rims. Steering wheel was covered with leather. Production continued till 2006.
Honda Integra on different marketsFirst Honda Integra generation car was sold on North American market under the name of Acura Integra. Fourth generation model was called Honda Acura RSX in the USA and Canada.
