Honda LegendProduction of Honda Legend started in 80s and is still in process. Coupe and sedan were presented on the market. Since that time company have produced five generations and three facelifts of Honda Legend in Japan and the UK.
Honda Legend I generationHonda Legend cars debuted in 1985 on Japanese market, and were sold in Europe since 1987. This car was a result of collaboration of Honda and Britain's Austin Rover Group.
Initially, Honda Legend was positioned as an executive car, so manufacturer was primarily focused on the comfort for second row passengers. A distinctive feature of this sedan presented in 1987 was a high acceleration dynamic 鈥� 0-100 km/h in 8.9 s. For driving performance improvement car got complicated double wishbone suspension system.
Honda Legend II generationSecond generation of Honda Legend came to market in two configurations: Beta and Alpha. Maximum configuration (Alpha) included leather or wool seats upholstery, anti-skid braking system (ABS), double-zone climate-control and headlights with very bright upper beam. Honda Legend was the second car in company which had satellite Electro Gyrocator navigation system.
Honda Legend III generationThird Honda Legend generation in sedan body was presented on Japanese market in 1995. In Europe it was in 1996 on Geneva Motor Show. Exterior changes affected a bumper shape and lights: rear fog lights were combined with other lights. Interior was made of genuine leather. Distinctive features were a leather steering wheel with electric power system and climate-control with digital display.
Honda Legend III generation faceliftRestyling of Honda Legend happened in 1999. Exterior changes affected hood and front bumper shape. Developers integrated fog lights into bumper and installed a new radiator grille. Another restyling took place in 2002, when cars were equipped with Vehicle Stability Assist system.
Honda Legend IV generationConcept of the fourth car generation was presented in 2004 on New York Motor Show. New cars got Super Handling All-Wheel Drive System, innovative technology of all-wheel drive. Cars were equipped with Intelligent Night Vision, detecting pedestrians and Active Noise Control, providing an excellent music sound inside the car.
Honda Legend IV generation faceliftIn 2008, restyling happened, so cars got a new chrome radiator grille, upgraded headlights, LED taillights of intricate shape. There were some changes in interior also: leather door trim panels appeared, new airflow direction control button on climate-control panel was installed, USB-socket appeared.
