Honda NSX sport cars were manufactured in 1990-2005. There were two generations of this model. Car was manufactured in Tochigi, Japan.

During Chicago Motor Show in 1989 concept of Honda NS-X was presented. Production model was debuted in autumn 1990 on Tokyo Motor Show. Design was created under guidance of Ken Okuyama. Car was available only in coupe body. In 1995, Honda NSX-T with targa-top appeared on market.

Car was notable for a central power plant mounting and a rear wheel drive. Due to aluminum as a main construction material, company engineers got essential weight reduction of the car under supervision of Shigeru Uehara. Wheelbase was 2530 mm. Car got excellent aerodynamic characteristics; drag coefficient was 0.32.

Legendary racers such as Ayrton Senna da Silva and Satoru Nakajima, took part in car development. As a result, Honda NSX cars ranked over its main opponent 鈥� Ferrari 348 by the technical characteristics. Car also got a remarkable result in 24 Heures du Mans and Super GT races.

Fog lights of Honda NSX were mounted in tiny air intakes in front bumper. Wide central air inlet created additional pressing force on high speed. Car got stylish retractable headlights.

Wide glass area provided excellent observability to driver. In rear part spoiler with third stop-signal was mounted. Below there was massive optics along full width. Car got two exhaust pipes. Interior had only one passenger seat.

High level of comfort differed Honda NSX favorably from other sportcars of that time. Basic configuration got power steering wheel.

In 2001 car got xenon autocorrected headlights instead of retractable optics. Also car was equipped with modified taillights. Aerodynamic characteristics were significantly improved 鈥� drag coefficient was lowered to 0.30. Production of first Honda NSX generation was closed in 2005.

Presentation of Acura NSX Concept with hybrid power plant was opened on Detroit Motor Show in 2012. Car was developed in the USA and notable for its futuristic design. Second Honda NSX generation production model presentation took place in 2016 on North American International Auto Show.

Headlights consisted of two blocks, included seven elements and small orange turn lights. Lower part of headlights was edged with day lights. U-shaped radiator grill with chrome molding on top was mounted between headlights.

Hood lid got large company logo and complicated ornamental stamping. Side mirrors were mounted on long arms. Before rear wheel arches small air intakes were mounted, closed with grills.

During 2002-2005 period company produced Honda NSX-R cars with reduced weight and improved aerodynamic characteristics only for domestic market. In North America car was sold under the name of Acura NSX.
