Honda Quintet compact cars were manufactured in 1981-1985. Manufacturing was set up at Suzuka factory in Japan.

In 1981, Honda Quintet cars came to markets of Europe and Asia. Car was developed on Honda Civic platform and came as 5-door hatchback.

At the front part, large rectangle-shaped headlights and black radiator grille were located. Massive bumper with integrated additional optics was mounted. A hood lid got a rectangular stamping, continuing radiator grille lines.

Slim moldings were placed on doors surfaces. Car got big black rectangular side mirrors. Door handles were sank into body surface. Rear optics consisted of two rectangular blocks. A massive rear bumper located below. Wide back door was equipped with window one wiper.

Car had wheelbase of 2360 mm. Curb weight of Honda Quintet was 900 kg. Front and rear axles had an independent suspension McPherson type with stabilizer bars. In basic configuration car was equipped with power steering wheel.

For dashboard materials, constructors chose gray plastic. Steering wheel got two spokes; gauges were deeply mounted in a small trapezoid-shape niche. Honda Quintet got four passenger seats.

In Australia car was sold under the name of Rover Quintet since 1983. For interior decoration, natural wood was used. On domestic market car was known as Honda Quint.
