Production of Honda StepWGN minivans has started in 1996 and still is in process. Manufacturer presented five generations and five facelifts of them.

Honda StepWGN second generation appeared on market in 2001. Seats with next transformation modes were installed in those cars: 鈥渙ne opposite another鈥�, 鈥渕eal mode鈥�, 鈥渟leeping mode鈥� and 鈥渃argo mode鈥�.

Restyling of second Honda StepWGN generation happened in 2003. Developers changed front and rear car sections again. Customers liked this upgrade and so 24 389 cars were sold during 6 months.

The third generation of Honda StepWGN was presented in 2005 had totally different design. Developers increased number of doors and reduced car dimensions: height by 75 mm and length by 40 mm. Such solution, along with other technical innovations provided more comfort car driving.

Restyling of third Honda StepWGN generation was made in 2006. Exterior didn鈥檛 undergo any serious changes, except front part of body. Next equipment was installed: new seats, audio system with informative color display, able to play quality video tracks.

Fourth generation of Honda StepWGN was presented on market in 2009; it came in seven configurations: G, GL Package, L, Li, Spada S, Spada Z and Spada Zi. Cars were built on new platform with low gravity center. Body dimensions radically changed: length was 3095 mm and height 鈥� 1395 mm. Seats of the second row may be folded down so that there appeared additional cargo transportation space.

Due to restyling in 2012 cars got a new radiator grille, installed on a stylish compact bumper. Developers provided Honda StepWGN with new taillights and improved wheels rims.

Sales of fifth Honda StepWGN generation started in 2015. Key features were folding second seat row which provided a flat floor, the third seat Magic Seat, trunk door Waku Waku Gate. Equipment list was completed with Honda Sensing safety system. Radar, placed in the logo on the hood, detected not only cars moving around but walking pedestrians as well. In upper part of windshield developers installed single lensed camera, which estimated parameters of all objects at a distance up to 60 meters on a way. Another feature of Honda StepWGN was stop-signal, which blinked rapidly during an emergency braking.
