Honda StreamProduction of Honda Stream minivans started in 2000 and is still in process. Manufacturing was established in Japan and Indonesia. There were two generations and two facelifts of this model on market.
Honda Stream I generationHonda Stream cars debuted in 2000 in Japan, and next year 鈥� in Europe.
The exterior of these cars combined specific features of minivan and station wagon. Saving its compact sizes, which were very important in the city, manufacturer created a spacious interior. Front part looked well balanced: it was decorated with a compact radiator grille and a small bumper, on side of which wide headlights are located. At the rear part taillights and stoplights were located along sides of rear windscreen.
All Honda Stream cars were equipped with an independent suspension, disk brakes, stabilizer bar on both axles.
Manufacturer managed maximum comfort for passengers, expanding the interior space due to measured components mounting under the bottom of the car. For big cargo transportation, luggage compartment can be extended by folding the rear seats row.
Minimalism and usability prevailed in interior. Developers used high-quality plastics and titan imitating materials for interior panels. Distinctive feature was bright orange lights of climate-control knobs. Also there were many boxes and ledges for storage.
Basic configuration included immobilizer, central lock, four airbags, seat belts with pretensioners, climate-control, heated front seats and side mirrors, audio system and light alloy wheel disks.
Honda Stream I generation faceliftRestyling of Honda Stream first generation took place in 2004. Radiator grille with a single line and new headlights decorated front part of car. Fog lights were integrated in a new bumper with large air duct. Changes also affected rear bumper and taillights, which were mounted to the fifth door. Honda Stream got six seats after restyling; two seats were divided by armrest with glass-holders replaced a solid third row seat.
Honda Stream II generationHonda Stream second generation was presented on the 13th of July 2006. Developers fully changed the headlights, fog lights and radiator grille: instead of a wide single panel there appeared few thin beams. Car handling improved due to lowered center of gravity. Honda Stream has a road stability and does not roll in cornering. Interior comfort improved: steering wheel got smooth to the touch leather surface. Driver鈥檚 contour seat is notable for nice lateral and low back support.
Honda Stream II generation faceliftAfter the restyling in 2009 body of Honda Stream became more sport looking. Taillights changed their shape and the fifth door got spoiler. There were no essential changes in interior.
