Auto grease guns: what you need to know

They are notable for high efficiency and responsiveness, but are more expensive in comparison with other types of these devices.

As a rule, lubricating tools have a durable aluminium or steel housing. You can also find products with a reinforced housing in the assortment of different companies. Also there are devices without housing. They are designed for use of the products supplied in factory cartridges.

Tips on grease guns use

1. Study the manual of the grease gun and precisely follow recommendations specified there.
2. Before starting works, make sure that the device is serviceable.
3. Follow safety rules. Take care of eyes and skin protection. Don鈥檛 use the device near fire sources.
4. Prepare a clean soft cloth for removing the grease from the grease gun surface: its housing is easy to get dirty during refilling, especially when using non-packaged materials.
5. If there is no air valve in the device, then don鈥檛 hurry to fully tighten the cap on the housing after refilling. Press the handle several times in order to let extra air out, and only after this perform final tightening.
6. Clean the tool after completing the work. Only lint-free cloth should be used for removing the grease residues.
7. Take care that the room where the lubricant gun is stored is clean and dry, and air temperature is not lower than +5 掳C.
