Fiat 132 is a sedan which succeeded Fiat 125. It was released from 1972 to 1981. Production was arranged in Italy, Spain, Poland, South Korea.

The first generation was presented in 1972. Cars differed in a rich inner triming: they had a carpeting, the dashboard made of perforated plastic, the chrome plated elements. Designers paid much attention to the safety. In case of a head-on collision the steering column folded and did not get into the passenger compartment, also the complimentary steel frame for protection of the driver and the passenger at side collision was set in the door profiles.

Back window heating, electronic ignition, front seats headrests, the conditioner, cast disks were the extra options.

Production of Fiat 132 cars of the first generation came to the end in 1974.

The second generation of Fiat 132 was released from 1974 to 1977. In new cars front suspension was updated that allowed to improve controllability. Changes have concerned an interior also: the steering wheel, ventilation and heating control systems were updated.

In 1977 there was a restyling of this model. Designers changed the radiator grille, took a fringing of headlights off, set a plastic bumper and power steering. In the interior, dashboard and seats were changed.

In Poland this model was produced since 1973 under the name Polski Fiat 132p. According to official data, production was organized in Poland, but the finished cars were brought from Italy. At the local enterprises insignificant works were performed: installation of wipers, batteries, badges. Polski Fiat 132p was popular among the top officials of Poland.

In Spain the model was produced under the SEAT 132 name from 1973 to 1982.
