Fiat Argenta is a sedan which production began in 1981 and proceeded till 1986. During this period one generation and one restyling of model were on sale.

Fiat Argenta was created on the basis of Fiat 132. It differed from the predecessor in inner trimming and the dashboard. New squared headlights and direction indicators, side rear-view mirrors, a radiator grille and plastic door mouldings were set. Designers increased wheel base: length - on 6 mm, width - on 10 mm, height - on 2 mm. There were a conditioner and the sliding hatch among options.

In 1983 there was a restyling. As a result, Fiat Argenta got specific unique design and began to differ from Fiat 132 considerably. An arch, which served as secondary protection to a rear axle, appeared. The new design of a radiator grille was developed. There were new disks with the chrome plated emblems. The front axle was increased by 60 mm. The updated cars differed in finishing of the passenger compartment and seats design.

In 1986 production Fiat Argenta came to the end.

Since October, 1981 Fiat Argenta was produced under the license at the plant of the Zastava company in Kragujevac, Serbia.
