Fiat FiorinoRelease of Fiat Fiorino began in 1977 and lasts till nowadays. The model was available in such bodies as a van, the pickup and a minivan. The Italian company released three generations and four restylings of the car.
Fiat Fiorino 鈪� generationProduction of the first generation of the car lasted from 1977 to 1987. Cars were assembled at the plants in Brazil and Argentina. In an exterior of a van the small cargo compartment protruded over a cabin roof. This idea was picked up by other European producers, having used it for the models of commercial cars. On the Fiat Fiorino roof additional baggage compartment which improved aerodynamic characteristics of the car was established.
Front and rear bumper were made of plastic of black colour. On each side of the body mouldings were located. The rear part was equal, with vertical rectangular headlights.
The passenger compartment was compact, with a dividing grille between a cabin and a trunk.
In Europe and Brazil the model was also produced in a pickup body.
Fiat Fiorino 鈪� generation restylingsIn 1980 producers carried out the restyling of model and added a window to the trunk doors. The distance between headlights and their size was increased. The bumper logo plate design was also changed.
The interior of a car was left without changes.
In 1983 the car has received new design of the nose of a body.
Fiat Fiorino 鈪� generationIn 1987 release of the second generation of Fiat Fiorino began and lasted till 2013. The car was created on the basis of the Fiat Uno model and has received more modern design. Three body types were available: pickup, van and minivan. Till 2000 in Europe more than 250 000 copies were sold. Then the production stopped.
In South America this model was on sale till 2013.
Fiat Fiorino 鈪� generation restylingsIn 1992 producers have carried out restyling of the second generation. The front panel became thinner; headlights received a new shape. Loading capacity was increased to 620 kg.
In 1997 designers changed the size of the radiator grille and a shape of air inlets.
Fiat Fiorino 鈪� generationThe third generation of Fiat Fiorino was produced in 2007. The presentation of the model tookj place at the auto exhibition in Milan. The car was developed together with the French company PSA Peugeot Citro毛n. Assembling of these cars was organized in Turkey.
This generation had the updated, modern design. Aerodynamic characteristics were considerably improved, lines of a body became smoother. In 2008 the range of available bodies was filled up by a Fiat Fiorino Qubo minivan. Release of these cars continues nowadays.
Fiat Fiorino in the markets of the different countriesFiat Fiorino cars were released in the Spanish market under the name Emelba 127 Poker, and later - Seat Primo. In Brazil the pickup of the first generation carried the name of Fiat 147 City. In France the third generation is known under the names Citro毛n Nemo and Peugeot Bipper.
