In 2001 producers changed an exterior and an interior of a car. The new design was developed by Giorgetto Giugiaro. The engine hood received a new shape with two lines which are narrowed into the radiator grille鈥檚 direction. The passenger compartment became more spacious.

Next restyling of Fiat Strada took place in 2006. Producers took idea of an interior and design of the forefront part from Fiat Palio model. The front bumper was decorated with new air inlets and the shape of block headlight was changed.

Production of Fiat Strada with the considerable changes of an exterior and an interior began in the summer of 2009. Producers transferred the concept of the updated style from Fiat Grande Punto, Fiat Palio and Fiat Siena. The forefront of a car changed most of all 鈥� headlights became more spherical, and edges of a front bumper rounded off.

Also there were model modifications with the shortened and oblong cabin, and also a back door which opened against the car course. The car was available in several bodies: Single Cab, Rap Cab, Double Cab.

In 2013 Fiat Strada received the last updating of design for today. The producers changed the front bumper and arranged marker lights on each side of the bumper. In a Double Cab body there was a modification of with an open back door.

Under the name Fiat Strada the Fiat Ritmo model was on sale in the markets of the English-speaking countries from 1978 to 1988. In Mexico the Fiat Strada had the twin - Ram 700 car.
