Ford B-Max is a five-door minivan on the basis of Ford Fiesta of the sixth generation. The car is produced in Romania at the Automobile Craiova plant since 2011 up to date. Only one generation of a car was released.

The concept was presented at the Geneva motor show in 2011. Lack of door handles was one of its interesting features 鈥� they were replaced by sensors. Among the features of an exterior there were a panoramic roof, the trapezoid chrome plated radiator grille and the large front optics pointed to the edges. In 2012 stock Ford B-Max cars were shown in Geneva. Several months later the car went on sale.

The car has no body center pillar dividing front and back doors. Instead of it, the engineers of the company strengthened the doors design with high-strength steel. All this allowed to receive the maximal width of a doorway in 1,5 meters without loss of a rigidity of a body.

In a basic complete set the car was equipped with the multimedia center Ford Sync with voice-activated control, a back parking camera, climate control and a windshield heating system. Back seats of the car can be folded if necessary, increasing the volume of a luggage compartment up to 1500 liters.

Two modifications of the car are equipped with super economic EcoBoost engines which differs in high dynamic characteristics, low gasoline consumption, fast warming up and the increased ecological safety.

In case of detection of an obstacle in the direction of driving the express Active City Stop system automatically stops the car. For safe entry into turns the Torque Vectoring Control system automatically distributes an engine torque between wheels.

To prevent drifts, the car is equipped with system of course stability (ESP). In case of a road accident the producer provided a possibility of the automated appeal to the emergency services. By the results of the EuroNCAP tests designers managed to achieve the excellent safety level 鈥� Ford B-Max got the maximal 5 stars assessment.
