Tips on using clamps

The material of the jaws should be softer than the one the part is made of. Therefore, when dealing with fragile items, it is desirable to use jaws with a rubber or plastic coating.

Before you get down to work, make sure that there is no damage on the surface of the clamps. If you鈥檙e going to glue something, put waxed paper between the work-piece and the jaw to prevent the adhesive from getting onto the working surface of the equipment.

When the repair is finished, you should clean the device with a dry cloth.
