Lancia Flavia is the four-seater cabriolet produced by the Lancia company from 2012 to 2013.

History of model creation

The presentation of Lancia Flavia cabriolet, in fact, that was the European version of the American Chrysler 200 car, took place in 2012 at the motor show in Geneva. There were no cabriolets in the Lancia model range since 1967, when production of Lancia Flavia Convertibile was stopped.

Lancia Flavia cars were large: 4900 mm in length, 1800 mm in width and 1400 mm in height. The interior of Lancia Flavia cabriolet was completely borrowed from Chrysler 200 Limited: the UConnect infotainment system had a dashboard with an 8-inch touch screen, the Boston Acoustics audio system had the 40 GB hard disk drive and six loudspeakers. Interior trimming of the passenger compartment at choice was offered in monochrome (black) or combined (black-and-white) options. It was possible to choose color of the roof also: black or beige.

Producers realized that only a limited number of Lancia Flavias would be manufactured, therefore the car existed in only one package 鈥� maximal (it had ESP stability control system, 18-inch light-alloy disks, automatic climate control, tyre pressure control, cruise control, Keyless Entry remote key identification system, seat with heating and electric adjustment).

Because of weak demand, production of Lancia Flavia was stopped in October, 2013, only one and a half years after the debut of the model. There were various reasons for only small numbers getting manufactured, but generally their low popularity was caused by the fact that Lancia Flavia was perceived by consumers as a model of non-European origin, without history and charm peculiar to the Italian cars.
